Blewburton Ltd.’s consultants have worked with a number of Housing
Associations to review the energy performance of their stock and develop
improvement strategies. Housing Associations often have improvement targets
relating to their housing stock, typically these revolve around target EPC
ratings. We can review large levels of stock data or focus on a small group of
problem dwellings to find solutions that are right for you.

When carrying out a stock assessment we work with the Housing
Association with the aim of improving the quality of your data whilst finding
cost effective and low disruption improvement measures to reach your targets. Measures
will be determined with the Housing Association and could include:

  • energy efficient lighting
  • draught proofing
  • loft insulation
  • cavity wall insulation
  • solid wall insulation
  • flat roof insulation
  • floor insulation
  • upgrading heating controls
  • upgrading heating systems
  • replacement glazing

Stock data often has gaps or inconsistencies, we can highlight these to
the Housing Association and work to improve the data through educated
assumptions. We model a range of improvement strategies to identify the most
appropriate approach. Cost matrixes can be developed with input from asset
management teams and your preferred suppliers.

Based on your requirements we will create an interrogatable database so you can see headline figures as well as specific dwelling recommendations.
