Part L compliance

Part L of the Building Regulations deals with the energy efficiency and carbon emissions arising from new buildings.

Part L1A relates to new build housing, Part L1B relates to refurbished housing, change of use projects and extensions while Parts L2A and B relate to new and refurbished non-domestic building. Part L1 is the chief mechanism for delivering the Government’s zero carbon homes policy.

All members of the Blewburton team are licensed to prepare the SAP calculations to demonstrate compliance with Part L for housing and to produce the final EPC. We have years of experience, which together with our in depth knowledge of energy issues, means that we can give our clients advice on the most appropriate compliance solutions, managing the interplay between fabric measures and efficient building services, and between traditional and innovative techniques and technologies to arrive at the optimal solution.
