BREEAM
BREEAM is the world’s leading sustainability assessment method for buildings. Blewburton Ltd. has experienced, accredited assessors across all building types. We provide support at pre-planning and throughout all RIBA stages, this can include compliance advice, negotiations, assessments and certification, Accredited Professional duties and training.
Code for Sustainable Homes
Code for Sustainable Homes has been phased out following the Housing Standards Review in 2015, however as experienced qualified assessors we can still complete assessments for legacy cases.
Part L – SAP/SBEM calculations and EPC’s
Energy calculations for all new buildings, refurbishments and extensions to demonstrate compliance with Part L of Building Regulations. We work with developers from an early stage to help determine the most appropriate specification and upon completion of the building lodge the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
Energy and Sustainability Statements
There are many occasions where planning or funding requirements will result in new buildings needing to go over and above Building Regulations. Blewburton are experienced in interpreting the requirements, negotiation with Local Planning Authorities (LPA’s) and demonstrating how developments will comply.

Part G – Water Use Calculations
We are experienced in calculating domestic water use based on specified fittings to demonstrate compliance with Part G of Building Regulations and planning conditions for more stringent standards.

We are experienced at carrying out feasibility assessments and providing advice on low and zero carbon technologies and funding streams.
Home Quality Mark
We are qualified assessors for the Home Quality Mark, BRE’s sustainability accreditation scheme for new homes. It enables house builders to showcase the quality of their homes and to distinguish them from other houses on the market.
Planning and policy support for local authorities and other bodies
We offer a range of services to support Local Planning Authorities (LPA) in relation to energy and sustainability. This includes reviewing planning applications, attending PPA meetings, delivering training and updating policies.
Housing Stock Assessments
Blewburton Ltd.’s consultants have worked with a number of Housing Associations to review the energy performance of their stock and develop improvement strategies. We can review large levels of stock data or focus on a small group of problem dwellings to find solutions that are right for you.
